Blocked Drains
Blocked shower, kitchen sink, toilet or bath trap cleared properly. Then we test the flow before we leave, because a drain that runs slowly blocks again.
Plumbing across Calahonda and the 10 km around it.
The running toilets we get called to are one of two parts almost every time: the fill valve, which lets water into the cistern and fails to shut off, or the flush seal, which lets water trickle from the cistern into the pan. Both are cheap. Both are on the van. Both take under an hour.
When it is neither, it is a cracked cistern or a failed pan connector, and that is when it is worth talking about replacement rather than repair.
Turn the water off at the isolator, then look inside the cistern.
If the water level stays high after a flush and keeps trickling down the overflow, it is the fill valve. If the level drops slowly on its own with no flush, it is the flush seal.
Send a photo of the inside of the cistern and we will tell you before we come.
A toilet that will not clear is a blockage, not a repair. Different tools, different fix, and worth knowing it is not the same callout. If it is backing up when you flush rather than running when you do not, it is blocked.
If you let a property out around here, a running toilet costs you a water bill and then a review, and it is the kind of thing a guest reports after they leave. We get called to the same apartments every season for the same part, and the honest fix is to replace it properly once rather than nurse it through another summer.
Removal of the old pan, disposal, fitting the new one, sealing to the soil pipe and testing the flush. Two hours, usually, and we take the old one away with us.

FAQ
The part is cheap and the water is not. A running cistern wastes water all day and all night, and the bill follows. It is the fill valve or the flush seal, and it is a single visit.
No. That is a clearance job and we treat it separately. Send it through the form either way and we will tell you which one you have.
Yes, and that is usually the right answer rather than a whole new toilet. We keep the common valves on the van.
Yes, including the removal and disposal of the old one. Send a photo of the existing pan and the soil pipe so we know what we are dealing with.
