Blocked Drains
Blocked shower, kitchen sink, toilet or bath trap cleared properly. Then we test the flow before we leave, because a drain that runs slowly blocks again.
Plumbing across Calahonda and the 10 km around it.
If water is going somewhere it should not, stop it before you do anything else. Then find the tap.
Where that tap is depends on the building, so photograph the cupboard you think it is in and we will point at it. Under the kitchen sink is the one we find least often in the older blocks. More often it is a cupboard beside the meter, or behind the washing machine in the bathroom.
In an apartment block there is a second valve. The riser feeding your flat, upstream of your own stop tap, is the community’s pipe, and that is why the administrator’s name is worth having before you need it.
Then send us the job. A photo of where the water is coming from tells us more in one glance than a paragraph of description.
Burst pipes. A joint that has been weeping and finally let go, or a flexible connector behind a washing machine or under a sink. On older apartment stock we see the same thing repeatedly: a compression fitting that was never quite tight.
Leaks you cannot find. Water on a ceiling, a damp patch climbing a wall, a meter turning when nothing is running. We trace it rather than opening the wall and hoping.
Overflowing toilets. A fill valve that will not shut off, or a blockage backing up. We keep the parts on the van, so this is normally one visit.
No water at all. Sometimes the supply, sometimes the stop tap, sometimes a failed pressure reducing valve. In a block, ask next door first: if they have water, the problem is inside your property. In a house on its own plot you are looking at the tap or the valve, in that order.
A leak does not stop when the water stops. Wet plaster, swollen chipboard and a ceiling that sags overnight all cost more than the plumbing did. If water has been running through a floor for a while, we will tell you plainly that you need a builder as well as a plumber, and we would rather lose the job than pretend otherwise.
Calahonda, Riviera del Sol, Miraflores, Cabopino and Artola, La Cala de Mijas, La Cala Golf, Elviria, Las Chapas and Torrenueva: the 10 km around Calahonda. Fuengirola sits at the eastern edge of that ring and we cover it too.
Two of us, both on the tools. When your call comes in we are usually under a sink, and a phone that rings out is worse for you than a form that gets answered. Send the job, and we ring you back within about 15 minutes during the day. If it is urgent, say so in the first line and we will come to it before anything else.
If you cannot type, or the water is moving and you need a voice rather than a form, ring +34 634 380 838. That works. It is just slower than the form for anything already under control.
FAQ
We ring you back within about 15 minutes during the day and tell you honestly when we can be with you. If we cannot get to you, we say so straight away rather than leaving you waiting.
Water where it should not be: a burst pipe, a leak you cannot isolate, a toilet overflowing, no water at all. A dripping tap is not an emergency and we will tell you so.
Yes, and do that first. Where the tap is depends on the building, so photograph the cupboard you think it is in and we will point at it. In a block there is also a valve on the riser upstream of your own, and that one belongs to the community.
Weekend callouts are quoted the same way as weekday ones. Agreed before we start, and it does not change afterwards.
